A message from the founder –
I wanted to send a big thank you to @27clubcoffee @jacqueline_shiffman @andreciscoxx @reallyjsmn @young_dennis @jeanitablue @choatebody @youngest_cody @wavespacestudio @daviontannguyen @theophllus and everyone who has supported us.
We were able to bring Self Love Day back! I skipped last year because I was discouraged; instead of focusing on what SLC had become I was focused on how far we still have to go. Self-love and healing is a lifelong journey…and I forget that sometimes. I wanted to get back to the purpose of SLC…to teach others how to heal, love, and celebrate themselves.
I’m so thankful the family at 27 Club gave us the space to do just that. 27 Club is special to me because of what it actually means. The ‘27 Club’ refers to a series of celebrities, usually musicians, who died at the young age of 27, mostly due to mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, and addiction. The relation between creativity and mental health has long been observed, and several studies point out that a high percentage of artists suffer from some form of mental illness. So on Self Love Day, we celebrated life & ourselves. 💕
*cheers to making it pass 27* 🥂
